Required Skills
Essential Skills / KSA
· Deep understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP suite, IP addressing, subnetting, and DNS/DHCP configurations.
· Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs)
· Familiarity with network hardware (Cisco, Hikvision, Huawei) and cabling standards.
· Knowledge of IP camera configurations, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), PTZ controls.
Desirable Skills / KSA
· Experience with advanced subnetting, IPv6, and setting up redundant DHCP/DNS backup systems
· Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols and advanced security rules (ACLs) to control traffic between VLANs.
· Hands-on experience managing mixed hardware environments (e.g., connecting Cisco to Huawei) and fiber-optic cabling/testing.
· Experience with centralized CCTV software

Key Responsibilities
To provide technical Support in the deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Wi-Fi infrastructure, VoiP services and CCTV surveillance system connectivity.
· Hardware Deployment: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including switches, routers, and Wi-Fi Access Points (APs)
· Cabling & Infrastructure: Layout, crimp, patch, and test Ethernet cabling and fiber optic patches to ensure clean and organized server racks and network closets.
· Device Setup: Configure IP addresses, subnets, and VLANs on client devices, and VoIP phones to ensure proper network segment alignment.
· Backups: Maintain regular, secure backups of network device configurations to ensure rapid recovery in case of hardware failure.
· Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (e.g., dropped Wi-Fi signal, slow internet connection, IP conflicts) for end-users.
· Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose hardware, software, and cable faults, replacing defective components as required.
· Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of network equipment.
· Helpdesk Coordination: Log network incidents in the ticketing system and escalate complex network routing or security issues to upper level when necessary.
· Network Mapping: Create and maintain accurate network diagrams, topology maps, and documentation of port allocations in patch panels.
· CCTV Installation and Maintenance: Install, aim, focus, and maintain IP security cameras in optimal locations for maximum coverage.
· NVR Management: Configure and manage Network Video Recorders (NVRs).
· VoiP Deployment: Provision, configure, and deploy VoiP phones across offices, labs, and administrative blocks.
