IT Support Officer

Overview Our organization is looking for an experienced IT Support Officer who can keep our systems running efficiently and provide dependable technical assistance to employees. This role requires someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a wide range of IT tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, update, and maintain Windows-based systems across desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Identify and fix technical issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Offer remote support to users through tools such as AnyDesk or similar applications.
• Prepare and deploy new machines, install required software, and carry out system upgrades.
• Oversee network performance, including LAN/WAN connections and network devices like routers and switches.
• Apply security measures, including system updates, patches, and antivirus protection.
• Handle routine data backups and assist with system recovery when needed.
• Provide support for email services, cloud solutions, and office productivity tools.
• Keep track of IT assets, log technical issues, and report on system status when required.
• Work closely with colleagues to improve IT operations and reduce disruptions.
• Guide staff on proper use of systems and basic IT practices.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and suggest improvements where beneficial.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• 2 to 3 years of practical experience in IT support or system administration.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows environments and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with remote access/support tools (e.g., AnyDesk).
• Basic to intermediate understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routers, and switches.
• Awareness of cybersecurity practices, updates, and antivirus tools.
• Ability to resolve technical issues across hardware and software efficiently.
• Self-motivated with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communication skills, especially when assisting non-technical users.
• Open to learning and adopting new tools and technologies.
