Key Responsibilities
To deliver high-quality Chemistry instruction that develops students' understanding of chemical principles, scientific inquiry, and laboratory practices.
The Chemistry Teacher is responsible for fostering analytical thinking, practical skills, and academic excellence
while ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment in accordance with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Chemistry lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Teach theoretical and practical aspects of Chemistry using effective instructional methods.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations while ensuring strict adherence to laboratory safety procedures.
- Prepare lesson plans, laboratory manuals, practical activities, worksheets, and examinations.
- Assess students through assignments, quizzes, practical examinations, projects, and written tests.
- Maintain accurate academic records, practical assessments, and laboratory inventories.
- Supervise students during laboratory sessions and promote safe handling of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
- Encourage scientific inquiry, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial instruction where necessary.
- Communicate students' academic progress and behavior to parents during meetings and through progress reports.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, school functions, and extracurricular science events.
- Perform examination, invigilation, and other academic duties assigned by the school administration.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, laboratory safety standards, and professional ethics.
