Job Summary

We are seeking a professional, highly skilled, detail-oriented, and fluent Chinese Language Translator & Client Relations Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately translating documents from English and Urdu into Chinese, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and confidentiality.

In addition to translation responsibilities, the candidate will serve as a communication bridge between our organization and Chinese-speaking clients, partners, and communities in Pakistan, providing excellent client support and fostering strong professional relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Translation & Language Services

1. Translate official documents, reports, letters, agreements, proposals, presentations, and other materials from English and Urdu into Chinese, and vice versa when required.
2. Ensure all translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and maintain the original meaning and context.
3. Proofread and edit translated documents to ensure high-quality language standards.
4. Maintain strict confidentiality of all documents and sensitive information.
5. Develop and maintain translation terminology and language consistency across all projects.

Client Relations & Communication

1. Act as the primary communication liaison with Chinese-speaking clients, visitors, partners, and stakeholders in Pakistan.
2. Facilitate verbal and written communication between the organization and Chinese-speaking individuals.
3. Assist in meetings, conferences, negotiations, and business discussions by providing interpretation services when required.
4. Build and maintain positive professional relationships with Chinese-speaking clients and business partners.
5. Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and communication.

Requirements

Education

1. Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language, Translation, Linguistics, Communications, International Relations, or a related field.
2. Professional certification in Chinese translation or interpretation will be an advantage.

Experience

1. Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in Chinese translation and interpretation.
2. Experience in client relations, customer service, or international communication is preferred.
3. Experience working with government organizations, NGOs, international organizations, Embassy, or private companies will be an added advantage.

Language Skills

1. Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese.
2. Excellent command of English and Urdu (both written and spoken).
3. Strong grammar, vocabulary, interpretation, and writing skills in all three languages.

Technical Skills

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
2. Experience using translation software and CAT tools is an advantage.
3. Strong document formatting and editing skills.

Soft Skills

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
2. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
3. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

1. Familiarity with Chinese culture, customs, and business etiquette.
2. Experience providing interpretation during meetings and official events.
3. Ability to travel within Pakistan when required.
4. Previous experience working with Chinese-speaking communities or international organizations.
