We are currently looking for a Business Service and Compliance Manager on a full-time basis. This position sits within our Global Business Services team and is located in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The job

Reporting to the Regional Head of Business Services and Compliance of APAC region, this role supports our Islamabad, Faisalabad and Multan offices. On a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following:

  • support the cluster offices by promoting, facilitating and championing effective risk and compliance management
  • implementing processes to ensure that ACCA complies with the laws and regulations in the market, including maintaining business and other licenses.
  • ensure that effective controls and mitigating actions around operational and compliance risks are implemented and monitored, particularly with national office finance procedures and procurement guidelines, identify gaps in current compliance processes, systems and procedures and implement actions to close those gaps
  • lead the maintenance and testing of business continuity plans for the office in accordance with ACCA's business continuity guidelines
  • lead the delivery of the offices health, safety and environmental requirements, conducting risk assessments where required
  • day to day management of the office environment including contract management, IT and facilities support
  • manage the Global Business Services operational and capital budget which includes submission of annual budgets, re-forecasting and variance reporting in line with ACCA's budgeting cycle,
  • provision of compliance reports in respect of all office activities (estates management, facilities management, health and safety, security, national office compliance matrix, annual audit compliance checklist etc.)
  • participate in project and other ad hoc work relevant to the role and delivering required outcomes at a high standard on a range of strategically important projects for ACCA
  • responding to requests from Relationships Directorate and other ad hoc activities.

The Person

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in compliance, data privacy and risk management
  • Experience in Health and Safety, Facilities Management, budgeting and forecasting and commercial contract management and supervision
  • Strong academic background, including good class of degree.
  • Experience of a remit which includes cross-border responsibility
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts
  • The ability to deal effectively with large volumes of work to strict deadlines by having a well organised, logical and methodical approach, managing self and others.
  • Very good word processing and Excel skills and desire to work with technologies to incorporate spreadsheet and similar IT skills
  • Enthusiasm to work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
