Key Responsibilities

The Academic Coordinator (Primary Section) is responsible for leading, coordinating, and monitoring the academic programs of the Primary Section.

The role ensures effective curriculum implementation, high-quality teaching and learning, academic excellence, teacher development, and student achievement.

The Academic Coordinator works closely with teachers, students, parents, and school leadership to create a positive learning environment and maintain educational standards in accordance with the school's vision and objectives.

Coordinate the implementation of the Primary curriculum across all grades.
Ensure consistency in lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices.
Monitor academic standards and student achievement.
Assist teachers in curriculum planning and instructional improvement.
Promote innovative and student-centered teaching strategies.
Observe classroom teaching and provide constructive feedback.
Support, mentor, and coach teachers to improve instructional practices.
Identify professional development needs and organize training sessions.
Monitor teacher performance and ensure compliance with academic expectations.
Assist in teacher recruitment and induction where required.
Oversee assessment planning, examination schedules, and result analysis.
Monitor student academic progress and recommend intervention strategies.
Ensure proper maintenance of assessment records and academic documentation.
Analyze academic data to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
Ensure curriculum coverage according to academic plans.
Review lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching resources.
Support the integration of technology and modern teaching practices.
Monitor alignment with curriculum standards and learning outcomes.

Qualification

Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum Studies, English, Mathematics, Sciences, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
