Assistant Manager – Export

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Export to manage export operations, documentation, and international customer coordination within the Food/FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of export procedures, shipping regulations, and international trade documentation while ensuring timely execution of export orders. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end export operations, from order processing to shipment delivery. Prepare and verify export documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading, and other regulatory documents. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, and regulatory authorities. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and import/export laws. Communicate with overseas customers regarding order status, shipment schedules, and documentation. Monitor production and dispatch schedules to ensure on-time deliveries. Coordinate with internal departments including Sales, Production, Quality Assurance, and Finance. Handle export-related banking documentation, including Letters of Credit (LCs) and export payments. Resolve shipment and logistics issues efficiently. Maintain accurate export records and prepare periodic export performance reports. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in Export Operations within the Food or FMCG industry. Strong knowledge of export documentation, shipping procedures, customs clearance, and international logistics. Experience handling LC documentation and export compliance. Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems is preferred. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple export shipments simultaneously. Preferred Skills Knowledge of international shipping terms (Incoterms). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Customer-focused approach with attention to detail.
